Sid wakes up as the Viewers sleep

Posted by tpiessens in What Is It on October 8, 2009 at 7:03 am

The new offering from Dharma Productions and debutant director Ayan Mukerji, ‘Wake up Sid’ has nothing new to offer. Taking up a plot that has been used and reused incalculably, wake up sid narrates the story of a confused, rich, spoilt brat Siddharth Mehra , living a luxurious life on his father’s hard earned money. The whole story revolves around Siddharth ‘waking up’ and in turn putting the viewers to sleep! With thousands engrossed in taking pictures, there is no doubt that photos can sometimes replace the power of words in conveying messages. It is still a mystery for many on how words can bring in many thoughts and views about a particular thing. What’s more is that photos are everlasting and the photographer’s life is usually embedded in every shot. Aiming to be a photographer is not a hard task provided that you know where to look in order to learn. But becoming Can you still remember the satisfying click of a Polaroid camera ? If you can, it’s about time you got a digital, just sayin’. I mean, you can create a Polariod effect with like, two clicks in Photoshop. But if you’re still a Polaroid geek and proud of it, then don’t fuckin’ listen to me. I’m a douche bag anyway. You should totally rock your pride with this Polaroid Pendant necklace. Link

I was going to be a pinball wizard. My Pappy Philippines , 6 October 2009 — Light writing is now fast becoming the next big thing among young, creative Filipinos. In the hands of the artistically gifted, light writing becomes a form of stop motion animation, or simply an art of “painting on air”–when light seems to become more fluid, creating squiggles, shapes, even drawings and landscapes. “The technique of light writing is actually very old. Even in the days when the artistic possibilities of the film camera were being explo

I’ve been sitting here for hours now. Playing around in Lightroom, testing and adjusting before I finally got satisfied. Photoshop have a nice feature called “Curve adjustments” where you can change the color channels separately with a few clicks with your mouse. I really wish Lightroom had that feature built in. Anyway, I started this session by doing some curve adjustments in Photoshop. When I was satisfied I tried to accomplish the same result in Lightroom. It’s really not that easy, I Each Monday, we’d love to have you join us here and at Fractured Toy . Is It Really Hard To See Someone Learning

Posted by purr in What Is It on October 8, 2009 at 7:03 am

Written by Anurag Bhateja on October 12, 2009 – 7:45 am - I know this is quite controversial thing to comment on nature of anyone out there so I am not going to take the names of people whom I want to do critic on . I am following the theory of play safe here . What happened is, I was coming back from Panchkula to Chandigarh with Naveen and we chatted on some issues which we were watching from last many months.First let me tell you something about Naveen. Naveen Choudhary, a very intelligent Manuel H. Rodriguéz, 89, died last week after a long illness. Manuel H. was the Colombian Capa: a man who for more than half a century captured the history and “moments” of his country with his emblematic Rollei. And like Capa, his career in photojournalism was born out of chaos and violence.
