Thank you for stopping by to learn about my WWII historical novel, with a working title of A Chosen Path!
This fictional story of the Navajo code talkers releases late summer 2021 from WordCrafts Press.
Home front, 1942. Will the war come to United States soil? Graduate student Marshall Callaghan wrestles with a decision to join up in memory of his dad’s WWI service or support the war effort by continuing his studies, which are fully funded by his uncle. Along the way, he meets Nascha, a Navajo woman, and her brother, Akule, who joins the Marines Navajo code talker program.
God meets Marshall in the desert, among the sheep and stillness, and gently calls him to the Good Shepherd. Marshall receives an offer to work alongside the native people at the same time he receives a formal offer for his dream job. Marshall faces the choice to give to others for the greater good or follow his own ambitions–which will also determine his future with Nascha.
