Tracie Heskett began her career in the classroom, teaching multiple grades in public and private schools. Since then, her role in the field of education has grown to include author, presenter, and resource developer.
For nearly 20 years, Tracie has worked with educational publishers, developing and writing teacher resource books and other curriculum materials. Her work has covered 6 Trait Writing, Common Core State Standards, English Language Arts, Environmental Studies, Math, Science, and Technology. In addition, Tracie has written teacher and student edition lessons, fiction and nonfiction leveled readers, English Learner materials, and assessment materials for Christian and general market education publishers.
Tracie presents workshops at writing and education conferences and has taught faculty in-service sessions. She currently serves as Vice President and One-Day Conference Director for Oregon Christian Writers (OCW), and has been a past treasurer and secretary of her local American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) chapter. She co-directed Writers Weekend at the Beach for more than five yeas.
Tracie has ghostwritten two books and a workbook. Research plays an important role in her contracted work. She also writes Bible study materials and has presented talks for women’s Bible study groups. Tracie’s passion is to write with God to create meaningful content.
Tracie holds a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband. When she’s not writing, Tracie walks, reads, quilts, and spends time with her family.
Four of Tracie’s books were listed on Book Authority’s “52 Best-Selling Nonfiction Writing Books of All Time” in July 2020.
